5 minutes with… Franky

  • How long have you been at AMPR? Just over a year… how time flies!
  • Best bit of your job? I get to work in all three departments at AMPR which has been a fantastic learning experience. No two days are ever the same and I get to work with everything from kids clothes to fashion accessories as well as on exciting events such as LMFF.
  • My last meal would be… Gnocci made by my Nonna followed by the chocolate and salted caramel ice-cream sandwich from Cutler & Co
  • I can’t live without… coffee, my iphone and Burt’s Bees moisturiser
  • One thing I want to do before I die is… Run a full marathon. Liv (also from AMPR) and I are currently training for the Half Melbourne Marathon and I’m not even sure we’ll make it through this!
  • Biggest fashion faux pas… I was going to say double denim or socks and sandals…. but both of these are now fashionable! I’m definitely not a fan of hair scrunchies.
  • Favourite Melbourne restaurant … Cutler & Co- I’m dying to go back!
  • Who is your idol? DELTA GOODREM – I loved her at the Forever New Spring Launch party!!!
  • Who’s the funniest at AMPR? I think that changes every day! There is always someone here to either laugh with or laugh at!
  • Favourite holiday destination? Who doesn’t love New York in summer?! I had an amazing holiday there recently with my Mum and friends.Franky

Run Scotty Run – Springing Into Summer

Evie
On Tuesday of this week we were lucky enough to have two adorable babies and the new Run Scotty Run summer collection to play with.
Billie and James loved their time in front of the camera and looked very cute in the new Run Scotty Run range. They were full of giggles for us which made our job very easy! The hardest part was not being able to take Billie and James home with me…
The new Run Scotty Run collection will be in-store from early August available at the Run Scotty Run flagship Chadstone store as well as at Myer and all good children’s boutiques.

Melbourne Central scoops marketing award

The GPT Group’s Melbourne Central has been awarded Shopping Centre News’ (SCN) 2010 Big Guns Branding/ Repositioning Award for its ‘Living Melbourne’ campaign.

MC---Living-Melbourne-AW09‘Living Melbourne’  encompassed a new brand direction for the Centre,  focussed on positioning Melbourne Central as the district at the heart of Melbourne’s CBD where the city’s most creative trends, people and brands come together. ’Living Melbourne’ speaks to the  Centre’s physical space, the mix of stores and the attitude of the people who shop there.

The campaign was informed by consultation with different segments of the city’s community, including artists and musicians, and highlighted  Melbourne Central’s unique position in the heart of Melbourne, above the city’s second busiest train station and reaching into several precincts via interconnecting laneways.

Above the line creative featured a range of situations depicting Melburnians interacting with their city and different executions adapted to key trading periods including Autumn-Winter and Spring Carnival. PR activity supporting the Living Melbourne campaign secured editorial media coverage 30% higher than the same period in 2008. This was driven through new, non-traditional in-centre activations including the Centre’s Two Blocks street festival, live fashion shoots and art installations. Melbourne Central has also opened itself to the city’s artistic talent, encouraging  artists  to complete artworks within the Centre, creating a living, changing space for customers to enjoy.

GRANT PEARCE APPOINTED AS CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF L’ORÉAL MELBOURNE FASHION FESTIVAL

MELBOURNE, 14 May 2010:  The L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Grant Pearce as Creative Director. He will commence 15 July 2010. Grant will lead the Festival following the departure of Festival Director Karen Webster in June 2010.

Grant’s appointment follows an extensive national and international review of high calibre candidates by the Festival’s Board of Directors.

Festival Chairman Laura Anderson said Grant’s appointment is a wonderful opportunity to take the Festival to the next level, building upon its strong foundations.

“We wanted the next Creative Director not only to embrace the heritage of the Festival but to lead the Festival in its next stage of development. Grant brings a wealth of creative and strategic experience that will further cement LMFF’s position as the preeminent consumer fashion event in the world,” Ms Anderson said.

“Grant’s reputation as a fashion industry authority precedes him. He is passionate about developing and celebrating Australian design talent and the industry as a whole. His international credentials in business, the arts and fashion will ensure LMFF’s continued success as a directional fashion event on the international stage,” said Ms Anderson.

Grant Pearce said “I am honoured to accept the position and to lead the team at the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival, leveraging my skills as Creative Director.  LMFF continues to grow from strength to strength, capturing the world’s attention and attracting industry leaders from around the world. I look forward to working with the team to further enhance the Festival’s contribution to the fashion and creative industries, the economy and our key stakeholders”.

LMFF is a jewel in the crown of Victoria’s Major Event Program and an industry authority. It showcases Australia’s finest design talent, stimulates retail spend, investment and tourism and is a powerful advocate for the Australian fashion industry around the world. The Festival also acts as a unique catalyst for the industry’s development.

The Victorian Government, a proud sponsor of the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival, is delighted with the appointment of Grant Pearce. It will allow Victoria and the Festival to further develop new initiatives for the benefit of the industry, our economy and our community.

Meet Seamless Sally…

The AMPR Sydney office had a very busy day indeed.  It’s one thing to come up with creative ideas and another one to execute them.  Catherine spent hours blowing up Sally dolls and dressing them in AMBRA seamfree underwear to send to all the mags to promote the new AMBRA Bodysoft Wirefree T-Shirt Bra.  The things we do….

Sallyyyy

That being said, Sally loves the AMBRA seamfree range because it’s high on comfort and very practical but still looks fantastic! Check out the entire Ambra range at http://www.ambra.net.au/
