State of Design

state

Ann Morrison was invited to speak at the State of Design seminar series on the topic of: Get Noticed – It’s Called PR Darling! Moderated by Kate Vandermeer, Director of iSpyStyle, the other speakers were the very talented Kate Hannaford, Director of Moth Design and Alice Blackwood, Editor of DQ magazine. The seminar was a sell out with the audience’s live tweets displayed on a big screen at the front of the room. It was exciting to see the live feedback, particularly with the important discussion on Ann’s gorgeous neck piece!

As a part of State of Design, Melbourne Central is hosting a series of events by the Department of Counter Culture. The Counter Point exhibitions confound use and exchange value as well as propose alternatives through installation, intervention and publication.

State of Design is on until 25 July, check out www.stateofdesign.com.au

LA Calling!

Pretty Woman 2

We wanted to share a lovely note from Chiara who is holidaying in the USA. For her birthday we gave her a spa treatment at the Beverly Wilshire hotel (yes, the same one from Pretty Woman).

Frankie was also in LA recently and had lunch at the Beverly Wilshire. She suggested it would be the perfect gift for when Chiara went.

Sounds like she enjoyed it!

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to write to say a big thank you to you all from LA! As I have just had my birthday gift, and WOW it was amazing!

I was meant to go yesterday however due to lots of tourist site seeing I had to change it to today. The Beverly Wilshire hotel spa is so beautiful, it made me feel so special, and very LA!! The trip has been amazing so far, and very busy.

Hope everything is well in the office – thinking of you all, and thank you again for the most generous gift.

See you soon,

Chiara x

Dye to be Red!

In a tribute to Australia’s new prime minister Julia Gillard, Nova listeners and spunky button pusher Ash Williams went red live on air with Hughesy & Kate.

Big thanks to the Victorian Finalists of the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy who made this happen. Each of the three lucky listeners walked away with a hair make over by the experts at L’Oréal Professionnel,  a year’s supply of L’Oréal Professionnel hair care and styling products, 2 tickets to attend the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Awards, hosted in Melbourne by Wil Anderson on Sunday July 4th and a Pepe Jeans $150 voucher.

Happy EOFY!!

To celebrate a brilliant year, the AMPR team headed off to Kamel in Albert Park for some delicious Middle-Eastern fare and many laughs (largely due to our creative use of Persian fairy floss).

What made it even better was enjoying an amazing magnum of Krug- a wonderful gift from LMFF Chairman Laura Anderson. THANKS LAURA – it was so yum!

Big thanks must go to all our clients for being true partners in AMPR’s success. It’s been a great year and we’ve loved working with you all.

AMPR Announces Significant Client Wins

Ann Morrison Public Relations (AMPR) has made significant additions to its client portfolio in 2010.

Most recent wins include international lifestyle brand ESPRIT (managing both general campaigns and the launch of its Pitt Street Icon store in Sydney later this year), national shoe retailer Zomp, accessible luxury label RAOUL and Eyegasm Brands which represents Nicole Ritchie’s House of Harlow accessories and Winter Kate apparel as well as LA brands Gypsy 05, fLuXuS and Wildfox. AMPR has also been appointed to manage the debut of Mimco’s sunglasses range.

AMPR has been managing campaigns for national and international client interests for almost two decades. Initially specialising in fashion, accessories, beauty and events, AMPR’s client base now spans lifestyle, interior design and property development.

Fashion continues as a mainstay, with AMPR’s client list including Forever New, Kmart, Levante, Jonathan Aston, Pepe Jeans, AMBRA, Patrizia Pepe and Cose Ipanema. The agency also continues to manage all PR responsibilities for the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival, now the world’s largest consumer fashion event.

Event management is also a major pillar of the AMPR business with Emirates at the Spring Racing Carnival, David Jones, Louis Vuitton and L’Oréal Professionnel as clients.

Lifestyle has shown strong growth in a highly competitive market segment with blue chip clients including Kmart, Samsonite and The GPT Group’s Melbourne Central and Highpoint shopping centre.

AMPR also represents a number of maternity and children’s clothing brands including Oi Oi Baby Bags, Kids Avenue and Run Scotty Run.

Pro-bono work continues to be an important part of AMPR’s efforts. The agency proudly donates time and support to organisations including The Australian Childhood Foundation, The Koala Foundation and Women @ The Alfred.

AMPR now has 14 full time staff and offices in both Melbourne and Sydney. It recently appointed Vera Traikovski as Office Manager.
